From the 7th to the 10th of September 2017: The MEISTERKREIS is presenting the world premiere of the “GERMAN CONTEMPORARY EXCELLENCE” exhibition on the occasion of the PHOTOFAIRS Shanghai. GERMAN CONTEMPORARY EXCELLENCE takes the observer on a voyage of discovery through a sometimes unknown Germany, one that shares with China more characteristics in the fields of excellence, quality and creativity than is recognizable at first glance. China and Germany are united by a wonderful diversity in culture and economy – especially in the Creative Industries, which in turn release an abundance of new ideas. Using this perspective, the exhibition offers inspiration for a dialogue between the representatives of the German and Chinese economy and culture, which can be a stimulus to an intensive exchange of experience and knowledge and future joint co-operation. China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang expressed a similar idea somewhat differently during his visit to Germany in June of this year: Shaping innovation together! The MEISTERKREIS is supporting this wish with this exhibition.

Dr.Christine Althauser, German Consul General in Shaghai: “German brands and products are very popular in China. ‘Made in Germany’ serves as a reference for the high quality and safety of German products. I am therefore very happy that we are able to present, through this wonderful exhibition here in China, an even broader and more diverse spectrum of Germany’s economic performance and creativity.”

For years now the MEISTERKREIS has been committed in Shanghai to exchange in the fields of education and science – in close cooperation with the CEIBS (China Europe International Business School). The annual Prestige Brands Forum, organized together with the People's Government of Jing'an District of Shanghai, is home to intensive dialogue between CEOs of the MEISTERKREIS companies, Chinese entrepreneurs and emerging young talents. The continuous interaction between practice and teaching is an important element for the future development of excellence in products and processes
